Hey everyone, actually I am having last minute doubts. Here is one with the free thinker tagline, which one do you like better??

Here's the CU Photography Website that Dave told us about in class: Link to CU's Campus Photography Database

Here are a few links I found about making pyramids. If we still want to do that instead of the usual table tents.
One is for a 4-sided square based pyramid. The other is a template for a 3-sided triangular
based one.

3 sided

Let me know what you guys think

From Michelle: Thanks for posting those links, Razan. Everyone else interested in working on table tents -- make sure to check them out.

Also, in class we talked about brainstorming ideas for a common tagline. The idea everyone seemed to like best is:

I'm a free thinker.

Please share any additional ideas you have about text/language you're thinking about using on your print projects! Also, share any ideas about other elements you could use to bring some consistency, cohesion among all the different posters, fliers, table tents, etc you are all designing/

From Chris: Just wanted to give everybody a status update of where I'm at on my poster. I got together with Dave Underwood on Tuesday of this week and finished the majority of my poster. I still need to do some fine tuning, as well as adding Mac's logo and the tagline. Did we definitely decide on "I'm a free thinker" or "Are you a free thinker"? I was planning on putting these finishing touches in on the monday after break. Speaking of which for those of you still looking to work more on your respective projects. I reserved time in the media lab for our team on monday march 29th from 1-3 pm (right after class). So those still looking for some lab time are free to join me then.
3/27, from Michelle: Thanks, Chris. I will announce the lab times in class on Monday, or maybe even send out an email to give people a heads-up. Although you all must be sick of getting emails from me by now! As far as the tag line, we decided that you could use any variation on it (Are you a free thinker? or I'm a free thinker or Be a free thinker etc) depending on what works best for your poster. We did agree to put the word "free" in a different color. See Nichole's final poster, posted on the CULearn discussion board, as an example.

I was reading through some of the Bio's on the website and in one of them, the participant was talking about the conference and how it brought the best and the brightest out to talk. What if for the specific posters for participants at the top we put something like, "The Best, the Brightest ... the World" (or something like that) and that could tie into all of the participants we highlight? Just an idea... Meghan K

Mike: I was thinking regarding advertising in the dorms that it may be impractical, both financially and in terms of time, to try to do a comprehensive campaign in each building. Rather, it may be a good idea to focus campaigns (at least loosely) according to Residential Academic Programs (RAPs). The subjects covered in the different RAPs are listed here http://housing.colorado.edu/housing/rap_index.cfm

Could be a good idea, Mike. I'll talk to Graham -- I think the CWA has previously put up posters in the dorms, so I'll see if they have a process for doing that that we can plus into. Also, Anthony D has a connection with the RAs thru UCSU, so he might be able to help out with the dorm posters too. -- Michelle

Here are those awesome posters that Mike showed us in class on Friday. Mike -- thank you so much for sending these files! And GREAT work!**
